Victor (Great-Uncle) was born in the cottage across from Castle House.
Vic used to sell petrol, at first in 2 gallon copper cans; the chauffer from the Castle (Enmore castle) would drive over in the Rolls-Royce with 12 cans for exchange.
Vic married at 35 in Spaxton Church; his wife Bessie was nine years younger. Both Vic and Bessie went to school in Spaxton, and they courted for four years. Vic was a cricketeer, he asked Bessie out through her brother, who worked with him.
Vic (at some point) purchased the family homestead, The Saw Mills.
